I HAVE BEEN MAKING THIS RECIPE FOR YEARS. It is one of my husband's favorites and because of that, it is great for a date night. It is also good for everyday as it is quick and easy.

Loved this recipe! It made me look like Chef Rock Star in my house! The recipe is very easy to follow with limited ingredients that you would normally have in the house. I really think the key was to salt and pepper the chicken before dredging in flour. It locked in the flavor. Also, once you put the chicken in the pan, do not touch it until your 3 minutes are up! I was famous for turning it and turning it....this time I left it alone and it crisped up perfectly! This is such a great recipe it is easy enough to make during the week for family but elegant enough for a dinner party! Your guests will think you had it catered!! ; This is a definite keeper!

There was a certain restaurant around here that used to make a chicken piccata that tasted EXACTLY like me. The place has long since closed down over 15 years ago and I have longed for that flavor. This brought it back to me. I make this at least once a week and we have served it over lemon infused rice or baked potatoes and with caesar salad, but always with fresh baked crescent rolls. A WINNER. I personally do not deviate at all. A few tips:
1. Use FRESH lemon juice. If you use the bottled, you'll ruin it.
2. You must use the capers. You don't have to eat them, but this is what gives the piccata it's flavor. If I cant' find capers, I don't make this at all.
3. You can either use chicken stock or broth. Doesn't change anything. What I do with my leftover chicken broth is that I measure it out in plastic containers and freeze it. That way the next time I make it, I have the exact amount.
4. Use THIN boneless chicken breasts.

Delicious, easy, great idea! Such simple ingredients make for a fantastic meal. My boyfriend and I served the chicken over some pasta mixed with the lemon sauce and some seasoned steamed carrots on the side. We'll definitely keep this recipe in mind for the next time :]

This is delicious! For those looking for a healthier version I have found that it tastes just as good using only the olive oil that is called for and none of the butter.

Chicken Picata has always been my favorite dish and few restaurants do it justice. Giada hit the nail on the head with this recipe. The sauce is smooth with just the right tang of lemon. My friends beg me to make this one for them. Hint, make it alongside pasta with traditional red sauce and mix the flavors as you eat... beautiful!

The entire family loved it. My daughter's favorite dish to order in a restaurant, and she was thrilled to have it at home.
