The only changes I did was putting extra 2 Tbsp of tomato paste. It is delicious . I will make 2 portions in future.

Everyone I've given this recipe to has given it rave reviews! Really easy to make and tastes great the next day. I put extra carrots and celery in , but those are about the only changes i make.

This recipe is so good you'll want left overs. Being totally imperfect in my planning, I failed to buy carrots, but they were replaced with potatoes- it worked out very well! I also added zucchini- yum!

This was a great recipe. I cut the chicken up into little pieces and use a can of diced tomatos with basil, oregano, and onion (which will give it more flavor. I also addded orzo, garlic and an extra can of chicken broth. My family and I ate this up with some toasted french bread with a little olive oil on them. It was so good! A lot of people are saying it's bland but mine was not. You can add some spagetti sauce to it intead of the tomato paste and that'll kick up the flavor or add some italian seasoning. So yummy!! Thanks Giada

This was very tasty! I just added a few extra carrots and celery and added a few minced garlic cloves. I also chopped the chicken into bite size pieces and cooked it before I made the stew. I added the chicken later.
I will definitely be making this again!

I made sure to read all the other reviews for this dish before trying it and took the advice of many others to add garlic because my family loves garlic. Unfortunately though the recipe itself is pretty bland. I figured with as much basil as it uses then the thyme and bay leaf it would be pretty flavorful but it was not. Neither one of my boys nor my husband liked this at all and asked me if I wouldn't fix it again. I do plan to try again with it because I think this could be a great meal but with a few of the other reviewers changes.

I made this for dinner tonight. Only I used leftover chicken. It turned out great. There were no leftovers.

I've been making this Chicken Stew since it was aired. I change it up a bit each time I make it. I use boneless, skinless chicken breasts. I use pasta (small shells instead of the kidney beans (my family isn't a big fan of beans.

My kids add parmesan cheese on top and serve with either french bread or sour dough. It's a hit!

I've made it many times a year since I found in 2008. Huge hit and big favorite. Adding extra veggies are is helpful. I thawed some out of the freezer tonight. Salt content was fine if you don't want much but want the flavor. The key is the fresh basil. Great to take for lunch to work. Love it!
