This humble looking recipe turns out amazing! It couldn't be easier, you can keep all the ingredients on hand,
and it tastes even better the next day as leftovers. This recipe is now in our meal rotation as a favorite! Thanks Giada!

I HAVE MADE YOURS AND ONE OTHER CHEFS FOLLOWING THE RECIPE EXACTLY. NOW I DO A COMBINATON OF THE TWO WITH A LITTLE OF MY OWN TOUCH. IT FREEZES VERY WELL. THEREFORE, I MAKE A 5 QT POT AND WHEN I NEED TIME BECAUSE OF WORKING, I JUST POP IT OUT OF THE FREEZER THE NIGHT BEFORE. WE LOVE IT BETTER THAN BEEF STEW OR THE FRESH BUFFALO MEAT THAT WE GET AND USE FOR STEW ALSO.

I have made this for years and add tortellini which makes it even more satisfying.

this was a great dinner for my family! like others I modified th recipe: added 4 cloves garlic, increased amt of chicken, skipped topatoe paste, added mushrooms, increased amt of broth and cooked more to reduce for richer flavor, decreased basil and added a few sprigs of fresh oregano. we loved it!

This is so good. I did take the advice of other reviewers and added 3 cloves of garlic, diced potatoes, and green beans to the pot as everything simmered. It is the perfect hearty stew/soup for a cold night. Will make this often.

This is NOT your traditional stew...it's MUCH better! The recipe is very easy to follow and quick to prepare. With the cold weather coming, it is a great "one pot" meal that is healthy and comforting. The kidney beans add a nice touch. I also added a can of sweet corn and some fresh baby green beans. TASTY!

This is a fabulous recipe. My husband and I both loved it - very hearty. I actually used it to use up some leftover turkey, so I reduced the cooking time by half and it was perfect. I will definitely make this recipe again. Thanks!!

This was a nice stew, I added a few things to it though, I used potatoes and barley instead of beans, I also added 2 cloves garlic and some flour and took out the tomato paste. Overall I'd say it was very good and would definatly make it again.
