this was wonderful. i used skinless boneless chicken and cannelini beans. the only thing i would do different next time is to double the recipe. my family loved this, and i wished i had some leftovers. hopefully next time i will. a keeper!

Excellent new and easy way to prepare a warm filling winter meal. I used Fresh home canned tomatoes and homemade chicken stock in mine and my Kids love it.

this was hearty and delicious. i might want to add a little garlic to it next time, and maybe use cannelinni beans instead of kidney

This recipe was prepared on 1/28/05. It was a cold snowy day here in Virginia. I spent the afternoon in my kitchen preparing Rosemary Focaccia Bread & Giada's Chicken Stew. This was a divine recipe for our snowy day! I love watching Everyday Italian! Giada you are the best!

Very easy to prepare and good for casual winter dining. My guests gave rave reviews and thought I'd been slaving over a stove for hours.
The bean puree was excellent as a thickener and much healthier than other thickening methods.

This recipe is easy, delicious, and so flavorful. I added two cloves of garlic, used dried basil and left out the tomato paste (didn't have any on hand. I also added two fresh tomatos and used stewed tomatos, because I didn't have diced. No matter, it was still delicious as per my dad (He's picky, my husband, my Grandma and my daughter. I'll make this again and again. Thanks for the recipe.

I LOVED this recipe. I omitted the bay leaf and tomato paste (didn't have any, added 1/2 can tomato sauce, and several good shakes of garlic powder. I thickened it with a little corn starch and ate it over a bowl of white rice. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!! Delicious!
