Wow, this stew hit the spot! It's hearty with robust flavors. Perfect on a cold night with warm biscuits and Giada's Herbed Salad (the one with fresh basil, parsley, romaine, and lemon vinaigrette. I can't wait to make it again for friends! I used fresh basil and Pacific brand organic chicken stock, and good quality tomato paste and olive oil. I made the recipe as written, except used boneless chicken breasts (about 1 pound. Yum!

Really awesome recipe! I made this for my boys and some girlfriends and they all loved it! I wasn't super strict about following the recipe and definitely made additions to adjust the thickness of the stew - definitely going to do again!

Followed the directions exactly, excellent, quick, easy and my grandchildren aged 1 and 6 loved it. Next time I will double it so we can have left overs.

So glad I made it with fresh basil. Makes a world of difference. I added cumin and coriander and red pepper and mushrooms and potatoes instead of the beans. I also shredded the chicken. Really delicious. Use fresh basil only!!

I double the veggies. Yum. Next time, I'm going to make it the day before, let it cool all the way down in the fridge, and reheat before my dinner party. Couldn't be easier and it will taste even better the second day! Surprised there's no Facebook button to share this one...

We loved it! I added a can of chopped (not marinated, drained artichoke hearts and substituted the kidney beans with garbanzos. This was a hit. Will definitely make it again.

Pretty good homestyle meal, perfect for a cold winter night. I made a few adjustments:

1 omitted the beans (more a personal preference than anything else - results in a less thick stew, but I was fine w/ that
2 added more veggies (tripled the carrots, added a full green bell pepper
3 served w/ egg noodle pasta

VERY EASY TO MAKE, I ADDED SOME CHOPPED POTATOES AND PUT THE TOMATOES IN THE BLENDER BECAUSE MY SON DOES NOT LIKE THEM AND HE LIKED IT, IT ALSO MADE THE STEW A LITTLE THICKER.
