I make this meal at least once every few months. It is always a favorite and a hit. The first time I cooked it was several years ago, I didn't have the artichokes so instead I used Sweet Pea Pods and have not changed the recipe since. Thanks Giada!!

I made this for my parents one night and we found that, while it was good, it was very bland. I do have to say though that I loved the process of making this meal. It was very easy, sort of an all in one pot meal, and it made my whole house warm, cozy, and delicious smelling. The chicken came out fabulously, it was moist and fell right off the bone. I just wish the flavor pay off was better, I even used regular chicken stock and salted butter instead of reduced sodium and unsalted like this recipe called for out of her book, and we still found that it lacked flavor. I will probably not make this again.

I am from Chicago the home of the best Chicken Vesuvio and I made this meal for a dinner party this past weekend and with the exception of adding more wine, chicken stock and seasoning it turned out excellent. I bought the artichokes and forgot to add them but it was great without them! I'll definitely make this again and remember the artichokes next time.

Giada has hit the nail on the head again with the superb chicken recipe. The chicken is moist, the potatoes firm yet creamy and the artichoke hearts take it over the edge. The sauce is delicious. I make this for my guests all the time and it's always the hit of the party. Thank you Giada for another wonderful chicken meal.

I love this dish. I have used chicken breasts cut into smaller pieces and canned, drained artichoke hearts. It is a hit every time and a 5 star dish to me.

We love this dish as a family, sometimes that is not easy to do. But we all agree this meal is delicious. I have entertained friends with this dish, only you have to make extra for seconds.

I am not the best cook in the world, but I have been trying to experiment more, and when I found this recipe online it sounded great! I made it for dinner and it turned out great, the flavors were amazing, and it was pretty easy for me to make even though I am not very experienced in the kitchen. I would definitely reccomend this to others!!!

This came out delicious!!! I added the artichoke hearts a little earlier just to make sure they soaked up the delicious flavors, but I'm sure it would have been fine if I put them in when Giada instructed. I definitely recommend making this!

I had never made Chicken Vesuvio before...and I loved it in the restaurants I've been to. The hunt for frozen artichokes was not successful in two stores...so I left them out-sad to say. My entire family raved and this was the best chicken ever...yes, a lot of effort browning and next time I will split into two pans to make it go faster, deglazing both with wine in both then combining. I have 3 of Giada's cookbooks and have yet to be disappointed in one of her amazing recipes. Next up...Chicken Picatta
