I made this recipe on the spur of the moment and was pleased with it as a mid-week chicken dish. I did not have fresh tarragon or pearl onions, but it was still delicious with the assorted fresh herbs out of my garden and regular onions. I wish I had served this with rice to soak up the sauce.

Both the tarragon chicken and sauce were most flavorful. Easy enough for an old bachlor like me to successfully accomplish. I would highly recommend to anybody.
    Thanks Giada

Eh, it was OK. Not as flavorful as I was looking for, but it was OK.

Looking for something tasty to make for supper and came across this recipe. How could so many people giving it five stars be wrong? My husband did like it, I will admit, but he's not picky. He particularly liked the pearl onions. It just seemed something was missing. It wasn't worth all the time I took chopping over half a cup of tarragon. It was just a saucy chicken. I've already tossed the recipe in the trash. I'm not suggesting you not try this--but for me it was not a keeper.

Fantastic! Tender, moist and flavorful. I was afraid to use that much tarragon, but it was not overwhelming. Next time I may use frozen pearl onions, because peeling cioppolini onions was too tedious. Worthy of company.

I didn't have the cippolini/pearl onions - used just a old standby__vidalia onion...but this was fantastic!! I would highly recommend serving rice with it so you can soak it in that delicious sauce! My boyfriend LOVED it!!...Sharing it with my two girls so they can try it!

my family gave this great reviews, but you have to love tarragon to love this dish. I guess I just like tarragon. Also, don't skimp on the onions, they are great in this recipe

This was delicious. I made it for a dinner party and everyone raved about how tasteful the chicken and the sauce were. I had never cooked with tarragon before and was eager to try this recipe, and I'm so glad I did. The chicken turns out so moist as well. The gravy/sauce is also very versatile. You can throw some rice in it after the chicken is done, or use it as gravy and pour it over mashed potatoes. This is my new favorite chicken recipe!
