These were easy and delicious. They looked and tasted like they came from a French Bakery. Instead of the mascarpone cheese I used Nutella as well as the chocolate chips. They were truly "melt in your mouth chocolaty".

Mmm, these are yummy homemade 'pain au chocolat'. I used only one sheet of puff pastry cut into 4 & filled them with all of the mixture - I didn't have enough mixture for the other sheet of pastry. I love the center filling, goey chocolate & just the right sweetness.

It was good but I used semi sweet chocolate and the final result was a little bitter, next time I will use sweet chocolate.

This recipe was so easy to follow and the danishes tasted better than the chocolate croissants that I get at La Madeleine. This is definitely staying in my recipe book.

This recipe was so easy and so delicious. My daughter and I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out just like it looked on tv. :

These are so good -- I have made them three times already. Extremely easy to cut in half or double up. You get enough of everything to make it several times except the pastry squares. So your could probably make these 5 or six times then it makes each one cost like 20 cents. I would put the mixture in a corner and fold over that corner. Seems like the mixture gets mushed alot less. Again these Danish are so good -- very much like being in Paris but SO easy.

Um...where do I begin? These (1 taste fabulous (2 look like you worked all day on something that secretly took you no time at all and (3 will be gone moments after you bake them.

Just make them. Trust me! Unbelievable.

I made these last night and they came out perfect! I did half the batch without chocolate chips and the majority of my family preferred the plain cheese, although I thought both were delicious. I think next time I will try making it without the mascarpone cheese as it is somewhat expensive and I don't use it otherwise!

commercial_11623353: the folding is done as follows...you fold the square as though to form a triangle but you instead fold about 1/2 an inch away from the edge. Then you can lift that edge up and fold it over to secure it. I hope this helps, I actually do have pictures but wouldn't know how to post them!
