These cookies are easy to make and have been a huge success every time I have served them. Bravo Giada!

This cookie tastes like a sad chocolate chip cookie and not like an anise cookie.

These cookies are incredibly delicious and easy to make. The dough base is so simple to make that your able to add and substitute any ingredient you like. The made these cookies without the Anise because most people don't like biscotti because of the strange flavor Anise gives them. I made them with Vanilla Extract, Walnuts, and Candied Orange peal. The cookies were gone within just 2 hours.

My husband and I just made our traditional first batch of Christmas cookies, our newly found favorite! Last year, he begged to make them himself because he was so good at it(they're so easy! We made a double batch of the basic dough and then did half for these and half for Giada's Christmas biscotti with cranberry and pistachio. Can't wait to eat them!
Giada, you're my girl. Merry Christmas!

These are so good, that I have to keep my 'special' biscotti jar full of them all the time. I even bought jars, filled them with these cookies and gave them for Christmas presents. Everyone loved them. My recipe has to be re-printed often as it gets worn out.

I've tried many biscotti recipes and none compare to this one. I have made these for numerous fund raising events and I am delighted when people seek me out for the recipe. I always let them know it came from Giada. Thank you, Giada, for giving me the perfect biscotti recipe.

These cookies were a nice change from the normal chocolate chip or oatmeal cookies I usually make. The crispy cookie is also delicious in a nice cup of coffee or tea.

Any time I'm serving coffee to friends I make sure to bake this! Every is always amazed I went to the trouble to bake home-made biscotti! And no one can figure out the secret ingredient, anise, that make the flavor so special. My husband and father never stop asking me to make this!

Made these for a BBQ yesterday and they went over big.....I loved the flavors. I couldnt find any ground anise....only anise seed which I ground myself in a clean coffee grinder. I added about 1 1/2 tsp. I think I might even add more next time, the flavor of the anise with the chocolate was delicious. They were easy to make, easy to cut without falling apart, and again great flavors. Will make this a permanent part of my baking collection!
