These cookies/biscotti are wonderful. I didn't have any anise, so used 2 tsp vanilla instead and they were delicious. I took another reviewers suggestion and dipped them in melted chocolate-yummy! They make a beautiful presentation and would be a great gift or the perfect dessert with coffee. I will be making these many times in the future, absolutely delish!!

I didn't see the show when she made these. Are they supposed to flatten out in the first baking? I also doubled the anise in the recipe wanting more of a hit from that.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Easy to make with usual ingredients found in the kitchen. Better than store-bought biscotti. My husband loves these. Will definitely be making again and again.

the combination of chocolate and anise is heavenly. The chocolate chips prevent the biscotti from becoming too dry

I substituted vanilla for anise as my husband does not care for the flavor and the biscotti came out great. Easy to make with my three year old helping and easy to eat!

I loved this recipe! I substituted the Anise with Almond Extract and added chopped slivered almonds with the chocolate chips. They tasted great! I will definitely make this recipe again!
