I am a big fan of dark bitter chocolate and these cookies were so delicious!
Cut 1-2 minutes off the cooking time and you'll have perfection!

These are delicious cookies. I didn't have pine nuts so I used pecans and they tasted just as great! These are the best cookies. I will be makingthese again.

My daughter and I made these the other day and wow, did the family and friends gobble them up. Most couldn't resist having another or two! I think the combo of pine nuts and lots of chocolate made a cookie unlike we have never tasted before. Super delicious, thanks Giada for another great favorite for us!

Saw the recipe in TV this morning and decided to make them with my son. Big mistake! Easy to follow recipe, but the end product was a crumbly, dry cookie that was impossible to remove from the cookie sheet in one piece. The taste and texture of the cookie was not appealing and the pieces ended up being deposited in that dark hole in the bottom of my kitchen sink! Needless to say my son had a bowl of ice cream.

My daughter watched Giada make these and decided to bake them. They were great. her dad and brother loved them also. We didn't have pine nuts so she used pecans. We can't wait to make them again and use pine nuts.

My husband was born in Italy so I became accustomed to making low sugar desserts, in fact most of Giada's recipes are too sweet for him. We love these cookies, but I did make some changes: I used 1/4 c. cocoa, 1/2 c. pine nuts and the mini-chocolate chips. I also substituted 1/2 the flour with whole wheat graham flour. My cookies were only slightly smaller (I got 45 out of it and I only baked them for 12 minutes and left them on the pan for only 10 minutes. After they cooled they were not at all crumbly. I will make these for years to come. Thanks Giada!

Super easy recipe but I agree with a few reviews that it had an odd taste and it was very crumbly. Just like some, I tasted the batter and thought it was an odd taste but figured I should just bake them anyway. Once I tasted the final product I was completely disappointed.

If you prefer cookies that stick to the roof of your mouth and require a drink of milk after each and every bite, these cookies are for you. What a shame since the recipe includes such pricey ingredients too. Don't waste your time.
