Ihad the ingredients on hand, so I made them right away. They were terrific. I've never used pin nuts in a recipe but they added a great accent to the chocolate.
Christy, the recipe calls for 1/3 cup cocoa, not 1 cup.

These cookies melt in your mouth. The chocolate and the pinenuts go so well together. I knew these could not be crumbly or dry with so much butter. It is nice to have a cookie for a change that is not overly sweet!!

I made these cookies while the show was going on. I was very excited that I had everything on hand...using walnuts instead of pine nuts. Unfortunately, these cookies are VERY dry and crumbly and have an odd flavor to them. My kids tried them but didn't finish, which has never happened before! My husband who eats everything didn't eat them either. I was very disappointed in the results. These would not be good for a bake sale!

Excellent - different texture. I used dark chocolate chips and pecans (no pine nuts in the pantry. Will definitely make again - nice change from regular chocolate chip cookies.

After watching Giada make these for a kids' bake sale, my 6-year-old daughter wanted to make them. The cookies were very crumbly and not very sweet. In my opinion, they need more sugar.

These cookies were so easy to make and turned out great! The pine nuts added a nice crunch and broke up the immense chocolate flavor.
