Easy & tasty! If you don't cook the egg/vanilla/honey/butter mixture at a high temp, the egg doesn't scramble. Have some patience with heating it up and it will cook up just like it should.

Yummy! This treat is delicious. I made sure the egg and butter were in room temperature (left it out overnight, cause I was afraid the egg may start cooking like the other reviews mentioned. Everything turned out right, whisked everything together before cooking it. Fun and simple to make.

I really dislike giving a poor review, but felt it was necessary since myself and kids thought it was awful. I followed the directions to the T, and had no problems with honey / eggg mixture combining. We also had no problem forming the cookie balls and rolling them in chocolate. The problem came when we tasted them. The taste of honey is so overpowering, that the other flavors are drowned out. I quickly had to chug water after biting into a honey coma of a cookie. Sad to say, because the recipe was fun, but the end result was inedible.

I gave this recipe one star, but only because I was required to. I wouldn't even give this recipe a half a star, it was awful. I followed the recipe exactly and the first problem was the room temp egg started to cook as the liquids began to boil. So I continued by fishing out bits of cooked egg as I stirred. When the liquid became a bit caramelly looking, I removed the pot from the heat, but I had to strain the mixture to remove all the cooked egg pieces floating in it. I had my daughter mix in the remaining ingredients and let it cool. I couldn't get the mixture to form a ball, everything just kept falling apart. The whole family took a spoon to taste the mixture. It wasn't chewy, but soggy. The vanilla, which is one of my most favorite flavors, was way too powerful in this recipe. I wished I halved the recipe because I wasted all those beautiful organic expensive ingredients for this disaster of a recipe. Not one person in my family liked the taste of this "cookie".

Pretty sweet! I did have a few lumps of egg in the mixture when I was cooking it on the hob, which was a bit odd, I just picked them out. I swapped almonds for hazelnuts. I didn't roll the balls in chocolate, I just added 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips into the mixture. I let the mixture cool for 20mins, made the balls & let them set for 10mins in the fridge - yum! Don't leave them in the fridge too long, as they'll go rock hard, I bring them to room temp before eating them.

I made this last night and everything went well until it was time to form the balls. The mixture was too lose and I wasnt able to make the balls like Giada did in the show, I have no idea how she was able to do it....I had to spread it out in a pan and make them into treat bars. My personal opinion, I wouldnt use milk chocolate, the mixture is already extremely sweet and adding milk chocolate made it over the top too much. If I make this again, it will be with dark or none at all.

These were very easy to make. I have four kids from 4 to 15 and we refer to these as "little balls of goodness". They will be a staple in lunch boxes!! I also put some in a pyrex and sprinkled the chocolate on top and they are just as yummy. Thanks Giada

Great recipe for kids. It was easy to make as long as you followed the recipe. I made sure the eggs were thoroughly mixed into the honey mixture before I turned the heat on the make sure they did not scramble.

This recipe had all of my fav but sadly it didnt work out for me. When I mixed the honey, vanilla, butter and egg, the egg starting cooking :-( Yikes! Also when I combined the dry ingredients, they didn't stick together even after waiting for several hours. I ended up using it as yogurt toping which was delicious!
