I too have a comment for garbiedog: Did you happen to notice that not only is she Italian, her show is called Everyday Italian? If she is an idiot, then why watch her show or try her recipes? And I would like to think that somebody who put themself through the Cordon Bleu Culinary School in France would have more culinary knowledge than a Las Vegas housewife. Just saying.

I personally wouldn't care for this drink because I don't like coffee liquor. But I would like to comment on 'garbiedog's assertion that prosecco is "awful" and "sickenly sweet." Garbiedog, I think you are confusing prosecco with asti spumante. Both are sparking wine but prosecco is always a very dry wine.... It may not be your cup of tea, but it is never sweet. And EVERY bottle of prosecco I have ever tried is far better than Korbel.

I don't know why she insists on using prosecco ALL the time...just because she's Italian, and it's an Italian ingredient? Prosecco is awful. It's extremely sweet, almost sickningly sweet, which is a sign of bad quality. Even Korbel is better than any prosecco I've ever tried. Giada's an idiot. She's a one-trick pony with no real culinary knowledge.

My friend and I made these to celebrate the end of finals at school. We both love chocolate and espresso. They were very elegant and would be good ending for a dinner party. Be careful though, they are very rich!

I was excited to make this recipe because it looked SO good, but I just hated it! I don't know if I should have used a different kind of chocolate, but when they were mixed the bittersweet quality just did not meld well with the fruitiness of the Prosecco. Two of my guests drank theirs, but another friend and I couldn't and ended up pouring it down the sink. I was sad that I had wasted my money making this drink.

Delizioso, I could taste the flavors by just looking at the screen.
