    I agree I was excited to make these and I think they are just ok. A little dry and lacking some richness....wished it was more chocolately and hazel nutty. I think the texture of these is similar to a russian tea cake.

    After reading the first review, I modified the recipe: I added 1/4 tsp. salt and 1 TB of cocoa powder. Then the dough seemed dry, so as any good Italian cook would do, I added 1 TB of Amaretto! They still seem somewhat bland, next time I am going to add some mini choc. chips.

    I was so excited to try these after watching the Holiday Kitchen take over, but was disappointed. The cookies are just okay. Nothing special and not a lot of flavor. This recipe is a miss, unfortunately.
