This recipe is, indeed, creamy and very delicious. I agree that it's a bit too sweet even after using "scant" sugar measurements and will reduce a little more next time. Also, my Nutella did not dissolve completely at the outset, but did blend right in after being chilled and then frozen in the ice cream machine. I understand gelato is ice cream made with either reduced proportion of cream to milk, or with milk only. But this recipe is a winner, no matter what you call it. Thanks, Giada!

One of my all-time favorite things I've ever made from a food network chef. I've made this many times over the years and its always a huge smash, best ice cream treat anyone's ever had!
