Easy to make, although the prep takes me longer than what the recipe states. Absolutely wonderful! Everyone who has tried it simply raves about it. It has become a staple at our house this summer!

I love nutella, so I was really excited to try this recipe. I added about a tablespoon of instant coffee to the mix to cut the sweetness a bit, and it turned out really delicious. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I don't think it at all resembles gelato. It is, however, an excellent ice cream!

Usually I love the recipes from this show. This one just seemed so sugary. I would probably cut the amount by 1/3 if I make it again. On the plus side the texture was good and you can't go wrong with Nutella.

The second time I made this recipe I left it in the frozen ice cream maker insert, covered the top with foil, wrapped it in newspaper and was able to transport it one hour away to Rochester, NY for a family picnic. Upon arrival, scooped it into another container and popped it into the freezer until after dinner. Worked perfectly. Served it in Waffle Cones and the family RAVED about it. Am anxious now to use this recipe as a base and try other flavorings but am not sure there is ANYTHING better than the Nutella. Was also surprised that simply 1/2 cup gave the gelato such great chocolate flavor!

I followed Giada's recipe and made the first authentic tasting gelato ever this side of Italy. It is simply amazing. If you love gelato, make this!

This gelato was easy to make and tasted great. The Nutella gave it a great chocolatey flavor and the texture was wonderfully smooth and creamy.
