I was so excited to try this recipe because, like most of you who tried this cookie, I LOVE Nutella. I even used the whole jar to ensure I would get the full hazelnut flavor everyone commented was missing from these cookies. Still, nothing, just a faint taste of chocolate combined with too much sugar. The result was an overly-sweet, boring cookie that was an insult to Nutella lovers. Save your Nutella to spread over a shortbread cookie, don't waste it on is recipe.

Im a huge lover of nutella and cookies are my specialty when it comes to dessert so I was really disappointed when these turned out extremely mediocre.
i doubled the nutella and left the cookies in for only 6 minutes as other reviewers suggested. They were definetly done at 6 minutes, I cant imagine leaving them in longer and although the consitency was nice the cookies tasted bland and only faintly of cocoa (thats with 1c of nutella!!. If you want a cookie to impress dont bother with these, but if youre not picky give it a shot but dont expect much...

These cookies are absolutely WONDERFUL! They are super delicious, easy to make, and great for people of all ages. I am a chocolate fanatic and these cookies greatly satisfied my 'chocolate tooth'! MAKE CHOCOLATE-HAZELNUT SMOOCHES!

I made this recipe for my blog and they came out perfect! I made them much smaller though (i call them nano kisses lol, used ghirardelli chocolate chips, and just baked them a few minutes I didn't return them to the oven after the putting the chocolate chip in the middle. They also taste good rolled in shredded coconut, yum.

after reading the other reviews I tweaked this recipe a bit.
I doubled the nutella and I baked the cookies for only 8 minutes at 350 in my convection oven. I placed the hershey kisses on the dough as soon as they came out of the oven and DID NOT put them back in to bake longer. they came out nice & chocolatey and soft. very yummy!! if you like nutella, then you'll love these cookies!

These cookies were good, but they weren't exactly what i had expected. I agree, the hazelnut flavor was very subtle. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed the cookies and will continue to bake them. They are very simple to make and will be fun to make with my son in the future.

I baked these cookies yesterday for Valentine's Day, but omitted the colored sugar since I couldn't find red sugar. These cookies are so addicting. I took everyone's advice to decreasing the baking time for more chewy cookies. I'm glad it worked. Like what most reviewers mentioned, I only hardly tasted hazelnut, but I love these cookies nonetheless!

YUM! i love these cookies and so does my family. great taste and easy to make. you can alternate between different colored sugar for any holiday or occaision. i am curious to try decreasing the baking time as others have suggested for softer cookies.

My daughter loves these cookies. They are rich and chocolaty and delicious! Way to go Giada!!
I made these cookies for Christmas and used clear sugar sprinkles instead of orange.

Made this for a Halloween Party for the kids with rave reviews!!!!!! I agree that there is not enough hazelnut flavor, but the kids like them as is. Will now make for Thanksgiving.
