Wonderful rich chocolate taste, but it did not set up at all. I used triple sec, but left out the orange zest - not a big orange/chocolate fan. I also used vanilla from a bottle.

I made this recipe tonight for dessert to go with steak, potatoes and Giada's gorgonzola and breadcrumb stuffed potatoes. This recipe is so easy, I was able to start it before the other dishes and keep an eye on it sitting on the back burner while preparing the rest of dinner. The only changes I made were to eliminate the orange zest and liquor (didn't have the liquor and am not sure I like orange and chocolate together anyway - maybe I'm weird and to halve the recipe as there is only my hubby and I. It finished before the other dishes, so I was able to place the pudding into serving bowls, cover with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge. Hopefully, it will be ready when dinner is through b/c I'm not sure I could wait an extra minute to begin to devour it! I tasted the spoon after scooping into the bowls and it was absolutely delish - thanks Giada for another great, easy recipe! P.S. this will be dessert at my next dinner party!

This pudding was very thick. I don't know why the other reviewer's didn't thicken, but mine certainly did. All three times I made it! Although I liked the chocolate, I realize I'm not a big fan of chocolate and orange. I've made it again twice, just vanilla. Love it!!

The flavor of this was amazing, I couldn't wait to make this after I saw the episode!!! I did have a problem though, it really never thickened to a pudding consistency. I let it cook an additional 15 minutes and it still didn't thicken.......I'm wondering if 5 cups of milk is too much? I have re-read the recipe several times and was so disappointed and confused why this didn't turn out, so I tried another rice pudding recipe today. This one called for 3/4 cup of rice (cook first and then add 4 cups of milk. This worked perfectly. So I would say either adjust the milk to 4 cups and/or precook the rice in water before adding the 4 cups of milk.

I saw Giada's show today and was so interested in the chocolate rice pudding I went out and bought the ingredients. It was easy to make and truly the most delicious rice pudding I've ever had! I made some to share with my family tonight and cannot wait until they eat it. (I had a hard time not eating it right out of the pot

    The orange is awesome!!

I have never had rice pudding before, but since I had some left over arborio rice from making risotto and a request for a chocolatey dessert I thought this would be perfect. Definitely use arborio rice -- the texture is amazing and I love the orange flavor. I tried it last night right off the stove and it was delicious warm! I am excited to have it for dessert tonight chilled. I used grand marinier and guittard chocolate chips. The vanilla beans I purchase from cost plus - they are pretty affordable there and have 2 in the package.

This is the best rice pudding I have ever tasted - the orange flavor is wonderful. I had to change the recipe a little as I thought the chocolate might be too rich for us. I did not have orange liqueur so I added 1/4 tsp of orange oil. My husband liked it so well that he ate a bowl of pudding before it even had time to cool. This will definately be a weekly treat at our house.
