I watched this episode the other day, and these cookie sandwiches caught my eye! I mean...every sweet thing catches my eye...haha. But anyways! If you follow the recipe, the cookies will be perfect! Some say it was a little sweet, so I decided to substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips with milk chocolate chips - TRUST ME, it's a BIG difference. The cookie is absolutely chewy (I mean that in a GOOD way if cooked exactly for 14 minutes, no more and no less, 14 minutes is absolutely perfect. The frosting does make more than needed, however I made 4 batches of cookie dough the first time, and only 3 batches of frosting, which was perfect. I am a mad baker, and never hesitate to try new recipes. This recipe is absolutely one of mine, as well as family and friend's favorite : TRY THIS RECIPE, iTS WORTH IT!

Wow!!! These were AMAZING!!!! I make the recipe exactly as directed, but instead of chocolate chips, I added chocolate chunks. My family LOVED them, and they're the PERFECT amount of chocolate for me! Thanks again Giada for another amazing recipe!!!

These are really a delicious cookie. They are SO sweet....but I like that!! I am a huge chocolate lover and I will make these again. I do agree on the filling it makes way to much....I had leftover. I hate to see beautiful butter frosting go to waste lol I would eat it but that is way to much sugar to eat lol :-D

These are delish. I made 2 batches because they were for gifts but we ended up eating the first batch! When I made the 2nd batch, I realized that on the first, I only used white sugar and never added the brown. Then on the 2nd batch, I used 1/2 cup of cocoa by accident and not a 1/3. So I think this is a fool proof recipe!! Came out very good, but makes a small batch. I'd double it if you're making them for a group.

We all loved this! Had to bring some of these to the neighbors to share : Next time I will make the cookie recipe a little bigger because I had quite a bit of frosting leftover. Easy recipe for kids to help with, too.

I made these for my daughter's birthday party and everyone LOVED them! Even thow her party was just last weekend, I was craving more today and at 8pm I ran out to pick up more of the bittersweet chips just so I could make more! I'm thinking I'm addicted! LOL....

I made these for my sister's birthday, and everyone devoured them in like a minute! I also loved these cookies! I lessened the white sugar to one fourth of a cup, and the amount of sweetness is perfect. Also, don't overcook these delicious cookies. I made that mistake one time ago, but they were still delicious. If you bake for just 14 minutes(as directed then you will have perfectly moist chocolate cookies. I recommend this recipe to all. Good luck!

I love it it's very chewy and chocolatey also the filling can be a bit too sweet, so i just made half the powdered sugar. And I use mini chocolate chips because the normal were to big, is soo good. And last week I made the Fettuccine alfredo that Giada made Perfect!

These were really easy. Instead of the filling, I dipped them in white chocolate ganache and again in crushed peppermint candies...you know you want one!
