I made this on a snowy afternoon and served it for desert for my husband and father. It received rave reviews. It is worth the effort!

    Thank you Giada.

This a great dessert. I somehow managed to put too much marsala in, but it still turned out good. I ate it with strawberries

This is wonderful. It took about 10 minutes of whisking the custard before it thickened enough but it was well worth the extra effort. The zabaglione is so delicious.

As I went from store to store looking for a bottle of Marsala I thought to myself "this better be worth the effort", and it certainly was. I've eaten chocolate all over the world from chocolate mousse in Paris, France to chocolate ice cream in downtown Radford, Virginia and this was by far, the best chocolate dessert I have ever eaten. I have forwarded this recipe to all my chocolate loving friends and everyone loves it.

Wowee! This stuff was pretty easy to make and the taste was incredible! I have to admit, I'm not big into things that taste really winey, so I was a little worried when I saw just how much 2/3 cup of marsala was. But this has a very pleasant, subtle wine flavor that is absolutely delicious. I tried spooning and dipping it on other things, and it was great. But the flavor is out of this world on the strawberries -- the tartness really brings out the creamy chocolate flavor.

I'll definitely be saving this recipe.

This custard was so yummy. I decided to try and pipe some into raspberries. Oh my gosh! Awesome. I'm sure it would be a great surprise in a hollowed out strawberry as well. But of course, it was just as good off a spoon too!
