I made this for a group of foodies and they loved it! Next time around, I added a teaspoon of espresso powder, about (since I don't always measure too precisely a half teaspoon EACH of clove and ginger and it turned out even better! I got rave reviews from the second batch for several months after bringing it to an event of about 150 foodies .

p.s. I think the trick here is to grind the spices as needed, versus buying store packaged spices.

I am not a fan of Giada's cooking, but decided to give this recipe a try bc it looked soo simple. I agree with the other reviewer that it tasted more like a ganache rahter than true fudge. The cinnamon does NOT belong here at all. One of the most important attributes of fudge is its texture; however, this recipe has little texture as the mess came out very hard and became harder in a day. In point of fact, my jaw had a hard time chewing it. The condensed milk does not belong here at all! Would not recommend as it is not a true fudge recipe, but rahter a simplified version. I threw out the remaining amount in the pan!

I wouldn't call it fudge and it does not have much flavor. The salt on top adds a nice touch. I definitely would not make it a second time but were I to, I would add more cinnamon. I made it for a Super Bowl party and it is not bad enough to throw away but I am not sure if I can serve it to guests.

This fudge recipe was so good. I made it for the christmas holidays! However, I used milk chocolate chips and it was really good. I wanted to cheat and only had it in the fridge for only an hour and a half. DONT DO THAT!! It was a total mess. I started to cut it with my knife it was pulling. So I stuck it back in the fridge for another half hour and it was perfectly firm. Lesson learned... The salt was a really nice touch. Thanks Giada!

AMAZING! I melted the chocolate using the double broiler and accidently burnt the chocolate, but that made it turn out even better! This fudge receipe is addictive, and everyone who tried it, fell in love <3

Easy and delicious! I made it w/ and w/o cinnamon, and we liked it better w/o the cinnamon.

The fudge was very rich similar to ganache, it did not turn out the way I expected unfortunately because I really like Giada's recipe's...with that said I will not make this again, sorry Foodies but this one is a bust.. as fudge anyway.

It tastes delicious but my didn't set up as much as I'd like. I can see where you could make wonderful truffles out of this recipe (and I might make some and roll them in cocoa or cinnamon. I have cut mine and put them in the freezer.
