Made these for a baby shower luncheon and the twists were gobbled up within minutes! The sauce definitely was not for everyone, but the cardamom flavor was a huge hit overall with many guests and I personally loved it! Great recipe because can make hours (or day before serving and still tastes great.

I tried these last night and they were so easy to make and so delicious! I love the combination of flavors from the spices- I never tried cardamom before and is now one of my absolute favorites! The sauce was amazing!!! I wouldn't change a thing about it, but my boyfriend said for him, he would prefer if there was a bit less lemon in it. I am definitely making this again- would be nice to have out during a Christmas get together!

Unlike other comments, we all love the sauce and could think of other things to use it on. We loved the cardamom sauce and it couldn't have been easier.
Everyone was surprised that it was your recipe as they connect cardamom with Indian cooking.. We have a lot to learn about seasoning! We LOVED it and several broke the twists in thirds to tripple dip!

Loved the twist but didn't care for the dipping sauce. The second time I made this, instead of the dipping sauce, I made a powdered sugar, milk and vanilla glaze. Yummy!

I made these the other day for a potluck at work and everyone loved them. I also made the sauce and like the previous comment, I personally did not care for it, however my office seemed to have liked it... unless they were just being nice. But the cinnamon twists were amazing and I will be making these again.

These were very easy to make and took no time at all. They had good flavor, but nothing spectacular. I've never made a recipe of Giada's that I didn't love, but this time was a little suprising. The twists like I said are good, but I could've easily skipped the cardamom and sesame seeds and not missed either one. If you don't have cardamom, don't spend the money on it just for this recipe. The cinnamon is the real star of the show and you won't even miss the rest. Now, the dipping sauce is a whole different story. I had high hopes for this as I thought dipping the twists would be fun and tasty. However, even though I followed the directions exactly, I thought I must've done something wrong because this was one of the most unpleasant things I have tasted in a long time. I tasted it alone and with a twist and it was so awful I dumped it right down the drain. I would not serve this to anyone! Overall, while I like the twists, I don't see myself making them again. Just average.

If you're thinking of running out to get these ingredients... keep in mind one thing: Cardamom costs over $13 for a small jar!! SInce I don't often (or ever come across recipes that call for this spice I went ahead and opted out of that but did everything else as directed. Pretty good... sesame seeds add a little something extra and the puff pastry makes it super easy. Will make it again.
