I was very wary about this recipe, but i love seafood and thought, "how bad could it be?" well, it's pretty darn good. i would omit the samon and use orange roughy or more halibut next time. my 5 yr old fish lover LOVED it and at 2 helpings and asked for it for breakfast the next day. my 3 yr old was afraid of the mussels. but ate the fish out of it. a chef friend thought it was FABULOUS and said it was 'right on' comapred to other ciopinno's he made. i used pinot grigio for the wine and veggie broth instead of fish broth as i couldnt find it at ralphs.

This is a wonderful recipe. It's easy to follow, basically foolproof, and the results are delicious. It's nice that the sauce can be made ahead. This is a winner.

I was watching Everyday Italian this morning and this recipe looked delicious. I have a freezer full of halibut and salmon from my husband's fishing trip to British Columbia. The soup really hit the spot on a very cold evening! Now we're ready to decorate our Christmas tree! It was easy to make and everyone loved it!

This recipe was fast, easy, and absolutely tasty. I substituted oysters for the mussels (because I love oysters. The soup eats like a meal and there is enough for 4 to 5 people to enjoy a hearty bowl (or two. ; Thanks for this amazing recipe. It will definitely go into my permanent recipe rotation.
