This smoothie was DELICIOUS! I made a single serving because it was just me who wanted to try it. Used a single-serve cup of greek yogurt and used agave nectar instead of the simple syrup. Also used fresh squeezed orange juice. It really DOES taste like a creamsicle : Next time I'll try adding some vanilla protein powder to make it a meal!

I loved this smoothie....well actually with a little bit of vodka it's more like a screwthie (screw driver + smoothie. Great for a special weekend brunch. I also did not use sugar, but instead used splenda. I loved it. It is filling enough to be a breakfast meal replacement, because of the protein in the yogurt. Thanks Giada!

I just received a smoothie maker for Christmas and chose this recipe for my first use! My 3 yrs old daughter helped me to make it and we love it!!! It's not too sweet but has nice fresh flavor for sure!

1 I use simple syrup in a lot of beverage recipes, so I make at least a quart at a time and keep in the fridge. So convenient to just pull out and measure the amount needed for a smoothie.
2 What a pity that some still see "African American" and "White" instead of a person. I thought we were beyond that.

This is such a Refreshing drink...I've made it twice, First time I juiced a few oranges and I didn't put the sugar water...instead I used some splenda...it was so good. Today I made it again I used Simply Best Orange Juice and again didn't use the sugar, I again used splenda and again I loved it...This will be my Summer Breakfast...Thank You Giada:

I'm a bachelor living in Florida and this drink is perfect on a hot summers day. The only thing bad about making it is that it takes 25 minutes to prepare the syrup. But it's so good I go to all the trouble anyway. The combination of orange and yogurt and vanilla is perfect. Glad I found this recipe. The best thing about learning to cook is you get to eat food *you* like and this is definitely my kind of flavor.

This recipe tasted just like an original Orange Julius! I reduced the sugar to 1/4 cup rather than 1/2 a cup. Amazing!

Delicious, super delicious. Although I, too, disapprove of using this space as a form for discussion of other than recipes, I must make a comment on the Smoke in the House show. I am white, of Italian descent (both parents, and I very much appreciated finally seeing an African American on her show. It saddens me to view "one-dimensional" programs. More diversity please.
