Loved it! Used short grain brown rice and had to cook a bit longer, but flavor is amazing. It's good hot or cold, but prefer it warm. Recipe makes a lot; there's just the two of us, so we enjoyed it as a side dish with two lunches and three dinners. Favorite part is the crunch from the almonds.

This is a family favorite! It's smoky but also zesty. I've made it a lot. It adds a nice punch to the table. You can make it way ahead and it only brings out more flavor. I usually serve it with a roasted lemon garlic chicken, grilled pork chops or baked orange roughy with lemon.

I served this salad with sauteed shrimp. This is probably the most disappointing food network recipe I've made. I guess to each their own. It wasn't awful, I would just not make it again. I usually don't cook anything "citrus", but went out on a limb. I guess we are just not a citrusy family....

Sorry Giada but I didn't really care for it; hubby thought it was good so I changed to 3 stars from 1!.. I'm a pretty good cook and although I was careful not to get any of the pith from the fruit this dish had a somwhat bitter taste with too much green onion!.. Served with the Trinidadian Chicken Stew as in the same episode.. I think I'll make plain basmati rice with it next time! Total different flavors that didn't go well... :( Loved the stew btw!..

So delicious. I made this for a church potluck and the dish barely made it out my door. I am a beginner cook and it took me double the time to cook the rice; couldn't figure out what simmer is lol. But I am so glad I stuck with it cause it is so savory. I will definitely use more cumin next time.

Excellent dish. Easy to prepare and simply delicious. Brown basmati rice - first time I used it and the taste was awesome.

Very good pretty easy recipe. I only used 1 tsp of cumin. Not sure I would recommend using more unless you really like it a lot.

My husband LOVED this dish. I served it with broiled salmon. I followed the recipe except that I used white rice because I didn't have brown. I think next time I may use a little less oil in the vinaigrette because it was a bit oily for my taste...but my husband and my son loved it so I gave it 5 stars.
