This recipe is wonderful. I did change it a little bit. I used two medium oranges and one large grapefruit. I reduced the amount of olive oil to 1/4 cup and used all the fruit juice (about 1/3 cup for the dressing. I personally perfer less olive oil and wanted more of the juice flavor for my dressing. It turned out great.

What a great salad. I have never eaten fennel before and found out what I've been missing. This salad is a nice change and very refreshing. Because I don't have a blender I used my hand blender and the dressing was made in seconds. A wonderful change from lettuce and traditional fruit salads. Thank you Giada.

I decided to try this recipe because I love grapefruit and oranges, and I love Giada's recipes. Plus there were 3 great reviews. It sounded interesting and refreshing. I must say it was horrible! This was the first recipe of Giada's that I've tried that I thought was horrible. The olive oil didn't seem to go with the fruit and I'd never had fennel before but must say I wasn't crazy about it. (I even tried to eat just the fruit to salvage the salad but the dressing ruined it for me. I ended up throwing the whole dish out!

This salad was really really good! I never thought I would like fennel, but paired with the citrus it was quite tasty. My picky husband love it, will definitely make again and a great idea to bring as a side to a dinner party. Yummy! Full of vitamin C!

This salad was great even in the winter. Very refreshing. I can't stand when other give a review that is not 5 stars because they can't find an ingredience. Fennel is found in every supermarket in the USA. However, if you like the salad with celery then give it 5 stars.

The only thing is that I couldn't find fennel anywhere. I just substituted celery for the fennel. It was really a nice refreshing salad. The dressing was wonderful. I will definitely make this again - hopefully trying the fennel.
