We had the whole family over and Giada's recipe was the hit of the party. Very easy to make and tasted delicious. I modified the recipe a little - eliminated the cheese due to some of the guests having a lactose intolerance. I also cut the olive oil amount in half and added some butter. Absolutely fantastic...

UM WOW! Had the red carpet rolled out for me after these babies! These clams were wonderful, absolutely delicious!! It's no elaboration when I tell you they were literally gone in less than a minute!! I did make a few adjustments, however. I used a tad more bacon and parm cheese than the recipe called for, as well as some bread crumbs. I also threw these on the grill for a minute or two to open them up and used some of the clam juice in the mixture! Make these clams NOW!! (with a big exCLAMation mark!

Excellent recipe, I modified by using pepper bacon and adding breadcrumbs and fresh lemon juice. We used the filling to stuff mushrooms.

I used "count neck" clams and these are just fantastic. I cooked the bacon in the microwave in paper towels and sauteed the vegies in butter to cut down on the bacon flavor. ALso mixed in a little mozzarella with the parmesan cheese to get a little melt effect.

We live in the Hamptons in NY and we go clamming at least 1x week so I am always looking for different clam recipes. We all loved this. The only changes that I made was that I steamed the clams just slightly opened. Then I added a little fresh clam juice and bread crumbs to the mixture. Everyone loved them.

Man this recipe is good. I did use a bit more bacon than the recipe called for, and I did saute some celery and onions with the peppers. This recipe is top notch and I think it would be hard to mess up. The best clams casino I have ever had.

i just made this recipe but instead of using fresh clams i bought a frozen bag of the
Geisha Foods brand of clams on the half shell. One recipe was enough to top the 50 or so smaller clams on the half shell. Because they are precooked i only cooked them at 400 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes. They were incredible, and immediately devoured.
