Hm.. Coffee-Glazed Italian doughnuts.. Thought to myself, WHY NOT? Had everything in my pantry and made it the same night I saw this. Results were SO disappointing. The doughnuts were raw in the middle. I tried to make them smaller, it tastes a bit better but very time consuming! It was horrible. My dad took a bite and laughed.

These were amazing! I just made them this morning after seeing the recipe in her cookbook I got for my birthday. Very easy, just took a little bit of time. Reminded me of beignets, and I didn't mind a slightly "raw" center - it was a bit custardy. Some of them were cooked a bit more through because I think my oil wasn't too hot at first. I tried to maintain the 375 degree temp, which I think is important if you don't like the custardy center. Wonderful and delicious recipe!

I just saw these made this last weekend and had to make them. Good directions, easy to make and they are delicious. I will make them many times. Look forward to making them with my Grandchildren. Thank you soo much.

Time consuming. They were raw in the middle like other people said so I made them half the size and then they turned out pretty good. The only thing is when you make them so small you're standing there forever, so I threw half the dough out. I won't make them again.

I baked these and they came out excellent the first time. I'm not sure about all the reviewers who are having problems with the centers being raw. I'm an average baker at best and found the recipe to be fairly easy and delicous. I got rave reviews from my family. These are the kind of easy recipes that make others think I'm some kind of super baker. Thanks Giada!

I made this recipe with my husband. It came out great and we loved it. We didn't have any problem with this recipe at all. Thanks!

okay so i made this recipe the other day... i thought they were pretty good, but alot of people did tell me that they seem under cooked. i think by all these other reviews that ive seen that maybe thats the way they were suppose to be. oh, and instead of using the coffe glaze, i top it with powdered sugar for some and others i used a vanilla glaze. anywho people still ate them and said they were very good!!

I love Giada's show, she is always so happy and great instructor, however, these doughnuts had a very uncooked texture, not too happy with the outcome, perhaps i didnt cook them right...the glaze extremely sweet, but really good...if the dough had a different texture it would had been another hit!!!

I made these Christmas morning for the family. Everyone loved them and not a single one was left! People have mentioned that they aren't cooked all the way through when they make them; but that is the way they are supposed to be in my opinion. The dough is more like an eclair consistency. These are very different and delicious. Try it!
