I made the recipe as is with the exception that itw asn't browning for me after the 15 minutes so I jacked it up to broil for about 3 minutes and then served. I also used a bit more parmesan cheese on the top. Make sure you hav FRESH basil: I cn't imagine this dish being anywhere near as good with dried.

This is simple nd delicious. A touch heavy, but would be lightened up if eaten alongside a nice gls of Roero Arneis or alternatively Meursault or a medium flavored Chardonnay with good underlying structure.

    Try it today!

I made it 1/2 crab, 1/2 lobster. I used part skim ricotta & 2% milk instead of whole. It was incredible. My 4 & 3 year olds called it Batman good, Superman good...

When I watched the show I couldn't wait to try this recipe. I served it as a Birthday dinner to an Italian friend and found it very bland. The Bechamel sauce was very good, I'll probably use that with other recipes, however, the combined recipe... not so good. The crab mixture needs a little zip...like maybe cayenne or hot sauce, dijon mustard or something.

Made this last night, and we loved it. I added some Pecorino Romano cheese, so the flavors were a little stronger. There was lots of crab, so that came through in a lovely way. I would definitely make this again for company...

This was so delicious, I almost thought I had it catered from an italian restaurant. It was pretty easy to make.

What a great dish! First time making Bechemal, came out very good. Next time, may use chicken instead of crab for a different flavor. Had zesty lemon ciabatta bread, what a treat!

My husband actually made this meal. He loves to cook! This meal was absolutley sinful. There are no words to decribe how wonderful this meal was. If you love seafood and cheese, you will fall in love with this meal. Definately something that we will have to make for our next dinner party.

I wanted something different to do with my crab meat, and I got it! My whole family loved it. It was simple and fast, but very elegant. I would use this recipe for a dinner party. The only thing that I did different was saute shallots and a small amount of minced garlic to flavor my beshumel sauce. Try this recipe, I am sure it will be a winner.

I loved this dish but it is not good left over! definitly make it and have some people there to share because it feeds a lot and it shouldn't go to waste. Also, I would suggest having some help, it's not really a one person dish to make. I used a large (1 pound can of crab that I got in the seafood section and it was wonderful. We actually forgot the egg yolk.. but it wasn't missed. If I make this again, I think I'll melt some parmesean and add some basil into the bechemel to flavor it more.
