This is quick and easy to prepare and really tastes delicious! The thyme adds a very earthy flavor. Tasted perfect with a bit of fresh ground black pepper. I couldn't find creme fraiche, so I made my own. I've never had creme fraiche before, so I'm not sure how mine would compare, but the dish turned out great and I probably saved a little bit of money by making it myself! The only downside is that this recipe does not reheat well. It's not horrible, just loses the creamy texture and tastes a bit dry. Next time I might halve the recipe so my husband and I can finish it and not have leftovers.

A receipe you can manipulate a bit... I used Penne pasta and combination cheeses. The receipe is expensive. If you buy the Creame Fraiche at Trader Joes the price is affordable. Again, I prefer Penne over the Fettuccine.

This was fantastic! My husband was thoroughly impressed. My teenaged daughter wasn't as impressed...the asiago defintely has a bite that she isn't used to. I served with a whole seasoned chicken prepared in the slow cooker. Thanks for a decadent dish! Who needs to eat out with recipes like these? Thanks Giada!

The first time I made this, I changed a few things that make it a great mac 'n' cheese recipe. First, I use a large noodle that can hold the cheese inside, usually macaroni or ziti work well. Sometimes I change the types of cheese I use but using the asiago definitely is important as it adds that 'bite'. I often add other types such as sharp white cheddar, parmesan, mozzarella, etc. (always a white-cheese blend. Something I always add are some sliced shallots which adds such a great flavor. I end up calling this my white mac 'n' cheese and the thyme also is a great prominent flavor in this dish.

Will definitely be making this dish again. I did add cooked chicken to this dish to make it a complete meal.

This was a great recipe! My husband and I made it together last night for an at-home "date" night. It was so easy for us to make! It tastes great, too! I was lucky to find all the ingredients at my local Hy-Vee. It was a little pricier than the pasta dishes I usually make but not too pricey for our date night at home. Overall, this dish is incredibly delicious and unbelievably easy to make. This is one of many dishes by Giada that I have made. Thanks, Giada!

I made this for my boyfriend and I this week and we ended up throwing most of it out. Maybe we're not crazy about asiago cheese, but the taste was sub-par. I also considered addition some vegetables or protein, but figured I'd give the original recipe a try for the first time round. Unfortunately, there won't be a second attempt.

I am a true pasta lover and this is a great recipe. I always try the recipe "as written" the first time around, then make adjustments as needed. None needed on this except maybe the addition of a protien to make it a meal ( chicken, shrimp, etc.
