Very creamy! I didn't have peas or yellow onions. So I substituted green onions in the first step, used fresh tomatoes (instead of canned and didn't add peas. It was very good and my husband and kids ate the whole thing! I am making another batch tomorrow night.

    Giada, this was great,
I made it with 1.5 cups of orzo I salted the orzo water, I also used a canned organic diced roasted tomatoes, prior to adding the cream I cooked down the tomatoe shallot and garlic mixture which reduced the liquid Also I added cayenne pepper for just a little kick, my family loved it, my husband is not a fan of orzo and he raved about it and said " this is my old time favorite orzo dish".go figure!!! Thanks Giada

This was great! Quick and easy. Of course I modified it a little to accommodate our household. I used stewed tomatoes (what I had on hand, half and half, 5 pieces of bacon, crumbled, and chicken--for a one pot wonder! Will def make it again.

This was so good! I added 1/4lb of pancetta to add some protein and salt to the dish. It was just delicious! Maybe not the healthiest with the cream and pancetta but, hey, every once in awhile doesn't hurt. Highly recommend.

Good, not great. Certainly not the kind of "great" that would be indicated by the overuse of 5 star ratings. Add garlic, butter, and maybe a little nutmeg.

Be forewarned, the 6 to 8 servings refers to a VERY generous entree portion. If you're serving this as a side dish, you're easily looking at 12 to 16 servings.

So tasty!!! First time cooking orzo and it came out yummy. I added extra cheese cuz I just love cheese!!! I wish I added some shrimp or chicken to it like some reviewers said. but it was still very good, maybe next time?

Yum! This was my first time cooking orzo and this recipe was great. I served it as a side for my salmon dish. I cut the recipe in half since there were just two of us and it was still way too much. Many leftovers :

Very delicious! I made this to go with my grilled swordfish. Will make it again for sure... It does make a ton so next time I might try and half the recipe if making for a side dish..

Delicious! I will definitely add some kind of protein next time, though—shrimp or chicken. Love it!
