I prepared this to go with beef kabobs and smothered green beans for a group of really finickly diners, and everyone raved about it! For some, two servings were not enough. I followed the instructions to the letter, but adjusted recipe quantities to serve 12, and encountered no problems. It is so easy to underestimate this dish. One guest suggested that the addition of either shrimp or chicken would make this a complete and delicious meal.

GIADA IS A GENIUS! Words cannot describe how good this taste. I underestimated it when I choose it as an easy recipe for a potluck. Its so simple and so delicious. I used Oregano/Basil flavored diced tomatoes.
The taste is astonishing. Salt and Pepper are not even needed.

Yes, this recipe is a keeper. The tomatoes add just enough acidity to balance the cream. I added fresh basil at the end and it really brightened it up. I think I will make orzo cakes with the leftovers tomorrow. This is a must try!

I LOVE IT... Instead of shallots I used green onions and added mushrooms. Top it with grilled shrimp...UMMM!

Excellent recipe! I made it without the tomatoes and added fresh basil. We all enjoyed it and will make it again.

I used fire roasted tomatoes but other than that I followed the recipe. Turned out fantastic!

An absolute favorite - have made it again and again without any complaints or problems. Definitely salt as you go, and this dish will have so much flavor! Goes perfectly with chicken or pork (especially when the meats are grilled.

I make this as a side for company when I grill out... it is soooo quick and easy and delicious. You can change up the peas although they make for a beautiful color with the tomatoes. Great dish for company and many thinks its risotto so save yourself some time and make this so you can focus on your grilling and your company!
