Okay obviously fried cheese is going to be good, but that chutney is to die for!

I didn't realize you had to double down on the egg and bread crumbs to get a restaurant-style crunch until I saw this episode. Good to know!

Great Combination! I made this exactly as written, except I only left them in the freezer for 10 minutes. They were WONDERFUL!! I especially liked the combination of the cheese balls with the chutney! The chutney alone seemed a bit hot, although I still liked it, but together with the cheese balls, it was fantastic; much, much better tasting than store-bought! And the fresh mozzarella was so good & added a lot, too. I highly recommend this recipe!

I followed the directions with putting the cheese in the fridge and freezing them after the breading, but they were a little watery inside after frying. I still enjoyed them though.

Very good!! Super crispy just like the restaurants! The only thing i did wrong was I forgot the mozzarella in the freezer too long and the outside was perfect but the middle was still a little frozen, so I threw them back in the oil and that made it made it too dry :-( but next time I'll only freeze them about 10 minutes.

So yummy! We made these for a Super Bowl party and they were a hit. The chutney is to die for!

These were AMAZING! I had a block of fresh mozzarella so I cut it into cubes instead of having the mozzarella balls. Easy to make as well and only took a minute to cook in the deep fryer. AWESOME!

    I didn't make the chutney.

Really great appetizer. They're of course even better when still warm and the cheese is melty inside-but it's hard to serve and keep the right temperature for too long. I used an electric skillet since I didn't have a deep fryer and could set the temperature without having to keep looking at a thermometer in the oil.
The taste is wonderful - similar to mozzerella balls you would receive in a restaurant but with the pride of doing it for yourself at home.
I'm not a big fan of fried foods, I just don't like the taste of flour batters I guess, but the flavor of this batter is really good. My kids thought these were the best, my son kept coming in the kitchen and sneaking "just one more".
I didn't make the chutney, instead I used a jarred marinara sauce with fresh cut basil for dipping sauce and as much as we enjoyed these, we didn't miss the chutney.
