I made these for Super Bowl Sunday for my family and they were a huge hit! This was a little labor intensive with all the drudging, but definitely worth the effort. Since I do not have much experience deep frying, I was a little intimidated because I didn't have a thermometer to test the temp. To put my mind at ease, I bought a small counter fryer (available for $50 at BB&B and all I had to do was pour in the oil, set the temp and wait for the green light to tell me it was ready to go! These turned out perfectly fried. I wasn't crazy about the chutney (I think because of the sugar, but it was good. When I make these again, I will stick to a traditional marinara sauce instead.

I made this in my deep fryer. They came out great! I made the whole amount even though it was for 2 people. I just heated the leftovers the next day & it still was very good.

I made this and made a BIG mistake. I let my husband taste it and thought that was the whole dinner and he wanted it all to himself. Needless to say I will be making a double recipe next time. Thank you again for a fantastic recipe. Judie

Giada, I love your recipes, especially those I watch you create on T.V. and the reason I love them and want to make them myself is because I see the final product. I'm a very visual person and if I see what I like I tend to do it more often than not. So, please try to add pictures of the end result on your recipes, and keep on cooking like you do.... love your stuff. I really love the mozzarella cheese balls and the chutney, my family and friends ate it right up.
