Thank you Giada. The eggplant and asparagus combo was delicious. The lemony ricotta and sharp pecorino added a special dimension. I added sundried tomatoes on top. A sweet and elegant top to a special side dish.

This dish has an elegant presentation and tastes wonderful with the creamy basil filling. There was filling left over, which I made into cucmber sandwiches the next day.

This dish was very tasty but it is a one time wonder for the family. It was very pretty but difficult to eat since it fell apart when you tried to eat it. Also, I didn't serve it immediately after I took it out of the oven and the eggplant leaked it's natural water so it didn't look very good on the baking sheet. I liked it but won't make it again.

To me there is nothing better than cheese and eggplants. This dish is delectable! I actually prefer roasted vegetables more than grilled vegetables so I roasted the eggplant slices and asparagus in a 400 degree oven for about 15-20 minutes until just tender. And then I continued with the rest of the directions. This is such an elegant side and can go with just about anything.

Well, these were beautiful and tasted okay, but they weren't great and were difficult to eat. One cut into them and the whole thing collapsed into a giant pile. I also think the filling was WAY too much for the recipe. I have half of it left and am still trying to figure out what to do with it...

This dish is amazing. To me, eggplant gets a little mushy, so I substituted zucchini and it was amazing and beautiful. The other reviews about limiting the lemon juice is spot on and you have to taste the ricotta mixture as you go to make sure it is blending well. This is a beautiful dish whether served as an appetizer or a side to a main dish!

I enjoyed this, but mine fell apt while I was eating. :(
