This tasted really good and was easy to make. I had a little trouble getting them cut in pretty squares, but I will try it again.

I was nervous about the difference between the high altitude recipe on the box and the measurements Giada had. I'm in Denver, CO. I used Betty Crocker's Dark Fudge Brownie mix.

    1/3 cup of oil
    1/3 cup of water
    3 Tbsp of flour

Everything else was the same except I cooked it for about 25 minutes. The edges would have been too crunchy if I left it in longer. Although it seemed gooey when it cooled, after I left it in the fridge overnight, the consistency was right on. Soft and chewy. Yum!!

I have made these twice in the past week! We loved the brownies! I made that glaze that's suppose to go ontop...I made it exactly like the recipe said but it tasted horrible to me. I ever made it a second time to see if I messed it up and it was still awful, so I omitted the glaze and I topped it with creamcheese frosting instead, which was DELICIOUS! It has the whole coffee and cream thing going on!

These brownies are delicious! I made them for a family party and everyone loved them. My mother-in-law told me I will now be making all desserts for parties. :o I followed the recipe exactly and had no problems at all.

Mine came out very thin. It says a 9 x 13 pan but It think next time I will use a 9 x 9 and adjust the cooking time. They are good, not great but definitely a keeper for when you need a quick dessert and do not want to make completely from scratch. If you want a really great brownie recipe, try Nigella Lawson's snow flake brownies - the best! http://www.channel4.com/food/recipes/chefs/nigella-lawson/snow-flecked-brownies-recipe_p_1.html

I used the Ghirardelli brand triple chocolate brownies and omitted the chocolate chips. These are now my husband's favorite brownies and they were the hit of our New Year's Eve party.

If you are looking for a special brownie - one that stands out among the rest - then this brownie is for you. The recipe was easy to follow and the results were absolute perfection! I brought these brownies to an office brownie contest and won hands down. Lots of ooooo's and ahhhhhhs. The taste blend of coffee and chocolate is subtle yet oh so yummy and the glaze has a slight hint of maple. I added a few chopped pecans to the batter - although they are not needed, it was another layer of heaven. Please try these, especially for a gift or special occasion.
