After investing a good part of the afternoon, it was disappointing to find the outcome of this seemingly yummy treat, way too sweet. In essence the combination of the ingredients are ideal - half of the simple syrup would be more than sufficient - this way, you could taste the perfect combination of espresso and cream.

    My husband loved this!

I did a couple things a little different. With the extra heavy cream I whipped up some whipped cream with cocoa. When I made the drinks I added some of the coffee drink, whipped cream, and crushed chocolate hazelnut pralines, then over that I added some more of the coffee drink, whipped cream and crushed chocolate hazelnut pralines on top?WONDERFUL! My husband wanted seconds!!!

I love this drink. The only thing i changed is i added around a tablespoon of cocoa powder to make it a mocha. So good!

this reminds me of when I use to make snow ice cream for my kids when they were little.I had to use all of the simple syrup to make it sweet enough.I don't think there was anything special about it.
