Just what I expected! Not too sweet for us. I used Vanilla Vodka. Also, I used Moka Pot espresso. Made the simple syrup with the exact proportions as the recipe indicated.
NOTE: to make this properly note that the sugar is 2X the H20. And the martini recipe only uses a little bit of the SS you've made!
Made half a recipe of both SS and the martini recipe. Used the amount of Amaretto called for in the recipe, but couldn't taste it - so next time I'll double that. My husband and I discussed using, Kahlua, coconut rum, or a creamy chocolate liqueur in place of the Amaretto.

Made this for my girlfriend one night and we both liked it, but it was a bit too sweet. I will definitely make it again, but will cut down on the amount of suger used in the syrup..... That or add more vodka!

it was easy to make and tasty to drink. i used a lil less espresso and a lil more vodka though. the first batch's espresso overpowered all the different nuances in the drink.
it goes really well with the fennel salad and balsamic brown butter ravioli.

I thought the vodka-coffee blend was delicious. The presesnce of the alcohol was not overwhelming and it tasted delicious. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed it. ;o

Was kinda bland - not sure what was missing -- maybe more espresso or more amaretto next time!
