Too salty. We even rinsed the sardines in cold water. We weren't a fan of it.

This was pretty tasty but next time I will leave out the anchovies (I wasn't really a fan of them. I plan on adding shrimp to this dish the next time I make it.

This was wonderful! Left out the anchovies, knew that wouldn't fly with the kids, and topped with grilled chicken instead. Outstanding, and rivals the best pasta dishes at any italian restaurant. Will definitely be making this again soon.

I thought it was delicious and completely reasonable to prepare in about 30 minutes. Instead of anchovies, I used chicken strips (a lot of them. I also used frozen broccoli, and it tasted just wonderful.

Original recipe is way too big. I love the flavor combination. The anchovies are not noticeable. I use anchovy paste rather than the fillets. I cook this all the time.

This was an awesome dish!! I loved it. My family and cousins loved it! It was so simple. I don't like anchovies so i didn't use it and the dish is not bland at all. I added extra salt, red pepper flakes, and a little bit of black pepper which really boosted up the flavor. And instead of topping the dish with parmesean cheese, just incorporate it all in. But you NEED more salt to enhance the flavor. I also used about 1/2- 3/4 cup of the pasta water. Also try cooking the pasta for 6-7 minutes before adding the brocolli just to make sure the brocolli cooks correctly with the farfalle so the pasta is al dente and the brocolli is tender (not mushy which happened to me but it was still delicious. Next time I will add either shrimp or lobster to replace anchovies.

I made this with the Salmon in foil receipe and my family raved about this pasta!! I was VERY reluctant about the anchovies but after reading the reviews I decided to do it. The anchioves definetly added some flavor that would be missing if you didn't use them. All the women wanted this recipe because it was delicious and the kids devoured it too. I will be adding more brocolli to mine next time but othewise no changes. thanks Giada for something easy and impressive at the same time. I have never used anchioves before but I believe that's what took this receipe to an impressive level.
