I think there was a bit too much anchovie.. I'm not a fan at all! I almost gagged chopping the stuff up and when I ate the pasta I had to eat it really fast to get it over with.... I wouldn't necessarily go without ANY.... but definitely lighter next time. All these people that "don't like anchovies"... must only mildly not like them.... I took their advice- whoops! Oh well... it was really easy to make and I probably will try one more time to perfect it to my tastes!

Perfect for a warm day!!! Made this for dinner and ate it for breakfast too!!!! Great basic, light yummy food! My husb was sceptical about the anchovies but they just add depth...Will make often! Quick and easy!

Make it with anchovies and red pepper flakes. Really delicious, full of flavor and surprising!

I made this today because i had some extra broccoli in the refrigerator! I made this without anchovies and red pepper flakes but it is so GOOD! Yum! The broccoli is perfect in this dish! Everyone must try this! :D

I very much enjoyed this dish. I could not do the anchovies though, I bought the slimy things but just could not do it. It tasted wonderful without them. :

SO GOOD! I don't like anchovies but I read so many reviews that said DON'T leave them out. So even though I hesitated I put them in anyway and I'm so glad I did! I chopped them up very finely and they practically melt into the butter. It had such a good flavor and its light and makes a great side dish. I would definitely make this again and again. It's even good cold!

I made this thinking that I would need more sustainance but this is one of the best pasta dishes I have had. I love light yet flavorful pasta's and this is a keeper. Don't be afraid of the anchovies, even if you don't like them. Their flavor isn't too pronounced. The red pepper flakes were just enough, they added the right amount of heat. I loved the garlic, though I could see how it might be alot for some people. The only beef I had was that I needed more broccoli, 4 cups wasn't enough for a pound of pasta.

I substituted whole wheat penne for the farfalle and omitted the butter to make the dish more health conscious. Also, I added asparargus & broccoli to the penne. It was wonderful; my family asks for this frequently.
