Everything about this recipe was great on paper except the lemon. Giada is a great chef though she ruined alfredo with too much of one ingredient. I feel like this was a discrace to the two cups of reggiano which should have been the star flavor of the dish. I tried to cover up the lemon with more parm and black pepper and it was still too pungent. Thanks for ruining a great Italian favorite.

Well, I should have read the reviews first! The amount of lemon called for made this recipe inedible. I will try it again with about 1 tbsp of lemon.

Would give it 5 stars but a little less lemon in the recipe would make it perfect! My friends didnt like the original recipe very much

I use this recipe often, but omit the lemon. If you are going to add lemon I would suggest adding a little at a time and taste to your liking. The entire amount called for may make you not want to ever make this recipe again. I recommend without the lemon. Yum

Should have read the reviews first! I agree with the too much lemon for my taste...adding flavor is one thing but overpowering is a different thing. Also a little too thin for my liking. Tried adding more cheese but didnt seem to help much.

Too much lemon in this Alfredo Sauce recipe, maybe it was just my taste but all my friends hated it. Cut the lemon in half and maybe it will taste normal

This is really delicious recipe. I did not use all the butter as well. But I love the lemon flavor. It's definitely a keeper!

I must say this dish is very very very rich. i enjoyed it! I am not very fond of butter, so i used half the amount called. they say the butter floats to the top, and it does until the sauce is formed from the heavy cream and butter. once you add the butter constantly stir and the sauce will form. thirdly go easy on the lemon, or serve on the side. Some of my guest were not enjoying the random taste of lemon.
