This dish came out so perfect! I added steamed broccoli and chicken to it at the end when it was completely prepared, however I recommend not putting the 1/2 cup of heavy cream in at the end, its perfect without it, if you do add it i suggest putting in a tad bit more lemon juice, salt, and pepper. I only added more cream to it because i kept it on the stove for a long time and over time on the stove the sauce becomes less moist. Overall, this is the best Fettuccine Alfredo I've ever had.

I would love this recipe except for the excessive lemon juice. I will try this again with less than 1/4 cup of lemon juice, 1/2 cup is overpowering. Other than that, the sauce turned out OK!

I never order Fettuccine Alfredo out because it's always way too heavy and rich. The lemon in this recipe changed all that. It gives it a freshness and lightness that you wouldn't normally associate with Fettuccine Alfredo. Don't get me wrong, there's still plenty of cream and butter but the lemon just makes it. Some people said the sauce was to thin. If that's the case, simmer it for longer till you get the perfect consistency. Scrumptious.

Not a fan of the lemon.... We ate it because there was no point in wasting it... but I won't be making it again.... :(

Sorry Giada. I'll take packaged box mix over this recipe. To much lemon and way to oily. It ended up in the garbage disposal.

Was skeptical about the lemon but used half of what the recipe called for. Did not like it. Did not thicken well. Nutmeg was a nice flavor though.

I usually love Giada's recipes....but not this one. I thought the lemon made the cream taste sour....I even checked the date on my heavy cream! It is good for two more weeks so that wasn't it. Looking at other recipes, I don't see any that use lemon. This is the only bad experience I have had with Giada.

Would NEVER make this again. Too lemony and very thin. Would not call this alfredo at all.

loved it!!! let me tell you, you MUST, let me repeat you MUST use fresh pasta or else it will not be as awesome, or the flavors can not with stand dried pasta, but it was delicious, and very very fast and easy it takes you about 10 min or less to make the whole thing, but depending on home much lemon you like in there do not put all of it in at one time, put half then go from there and add more if needed, but i loved it.

Outstanding recipe, for the most part did it just as the recipe was except for cutting back to a 1/4 cup of Lemon Juice. Next time will probably try it with a 1/3 cup to see how it is. Also added some of the pasta water prior to draining the pasta and added that to the cream sauce to thin it just a bit this way it doesn't get to thick. Otherwise was perfect. Everyone loved it.
