This alfredo sauce is lemony and light despite its authentic additions of cream and butter. My husband and I are living in Italy and we prefer this recipe at home to any that we've found here in country :

I cut the lemon juice and zest in half, and it was still too much lemon flavor--particularly for those looking for a traditional alfredo flavor.

Was quite surprised with the ease and quickness of making this dish. Talk about a quick weekday meal! The only downfall (if you can call it a downfall of the recipe is that it had a strong taste of lemon which caught me off guard, since I've never made fettuccini alfredo and this is the first recipe for it that I've viewed. Although, the lemon taste made it quite refreshing and less "heavy" tasting. Will try other recipes but this is worth the little effort it takes to make it!

We've tried several recipies for alfredo sauces, but using the acidity from the lemons & lemon peel to cut through the rich & creamy sauce sets this one apart. The best (not the healthiest recipie that I've seen yet.

This dish was fabulous. Definitely the best fettucine alfredo I have ever had. The addition of lemon seemed weird at first but really added a great flavor.
Highly recommend!
