    I have made this several times; it is not difficult and excellent tasting. Kudos to Giada for this one. My wife and I really enjoy this recipe.

    The red wine sauce was awesome! This was my first experience cooking flat iron steak and it was good, but the sauce was the star of the meal and would be great with any steak.

    I thought it was great! This was my first red wine sauce and also my first time making a "reduction" sauce. It turned out really good. We served it on the steak and with rosemary roasted potatoes and some green beans. Potatoes went well with it, not too sure about the green beans lol. Oh, I used a Cupcake red wine. It's sweet with a hint of blackberry and chocolate, it did great. I'm assuming the people who aren't crazy about this sauce should try to make it with a different wine until you find one you like.

    Awesome!! I bought a flatiron steak for the first time and looked through a bunch of recipes. I was a little concerned that some said there is grizzle in these steaks...I must have a great butcher because it was as tender as filet & no flaws. I took the recommendation from another reviewer and made the sauce in advance then added the extra butter after I reheated. I'm glad I did because it did take longer than 10 minutes to reduce. We had sauteed mushrooms and parsley buttered egg noodles with parm. on the side everyone drizzled the sauce over everything. The sauce is amazing especially over the meat and mushrooms. My only regret is not having a nice loaf of bread to soak up the the extra sauce...next time!

    I found this recipe to be very good. My flat iron steaks were very thick. I needed to adapt with a oven season after the pan, at 350. I was very please with the cut and the sauce. Didn't change anything. I used decent wine, my sauce was not sour. I was patient and allowed the sauce to get thick. Very, very nice.

    This was INCREDIBLE. The steak is perfectly cooked and the sauce really throws the flavors over the edge. I highly recommend making this dish. It's the only reason I make flat iron steak!
