This is one of the richest sauces I've ever made and it goes perfectly with steak. The key is definitely using really good wine that you would actually drink since this is such a big part of the flavor. The butter really helps to cut acidity. Very restaurant quality and worth the effort.

I made this 030709 and found it very good. I did however add a little more butter than called for since it seemed a little strong from the wine. After adding the extra butter it came out wonderful.

Freakin awesome! I know that's not that helpful but I loved the way it turned out. I really like the fact that I made my own sause instead of using something from a bottle.

This whole recipe is about the sauce. The steak is good, if you can find flat-iron, but it's grilled just like any other steak. The sauce, however is a bit high-maintenance for what you end up with. It makes A LOT so you may consider cutting the recipe down to half. It's definitely something worth trying but not sure I'll enter it into the "rotation."

The was an easy, delicious and beautiful meal. I was not able to find Flat Iron or Tri-Tip steak so I used Boneless Sirloin. I served with Bobby Flay's Cauliflower Goat Cheese Gratin.

I made this for my wife and a buddy. They loved it! I did too but I felt I needed more garlic. It was very simple to through together. The hardest part was finding flat iron steak in Dothan, AL. Here they call it top blade steak. You should try this at least once. Your family will ask for it again! Grant.
