Bland. Had to add red onion for a little flavor. Also, what size cans of tuna did she ask for? Had to guess.

This is the easiest, and most tasty tuna sandwich I think I have ever ate. Super quick and the whole family LOVED it. There is absolutely NO altering needed. This will be an addition to my recipe book for sure.

I finally found an excellent tuna spread in this recipe. It's easy, inexpensive and my husband likes it. No revisions needed.

My kids loved this sandwich, though, I did alter it some: added celery to the tuna & ground lemon pepper. Used romaine lettuce instead (had this, a thin slice of tomato, and meunster cheese (had this already. Too keep this sandwich down in fat, I used a low fat organic mayo & used a spray olive oil. Spraying was easier rather than pouring oil on the focaccia.

The dark meat tuna in oil was very rich, so the tomato, celery & lemon helped make it less rich. My 7 & 10 yr olds loved this and asked if I could make this for their school lunch. Even my 7 yr old who doesn't like cheese loved this tuna melt.

    This is a keeper.

I made this for fathers day and both of us loved it! This was so simple to make, I think spending a little extra on the foccacia really did make a huge difference, but I just used plain 'ol canned tuna and romaine lettuce, but I still thought it was really good. I also used a grill pan and pressed down on it with a pan, and it worked out well.

This sandwich was awesome! I didn't use italian tuna. Instead I used Starkist albacore tuna in water. I used italian focaccia bread from Fresh Market. I also used a george forman grill...It was delicious!! HIGHLY recommend this recipe!

I didn't have foccacia but used whole wheat bread. I also added a tiny bit of onion to the tuna salad & topped w/ tomato & romaine. Really yummy & refreshing.

    LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES---

I PUT OIL ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BREAD - DON'T

I USED A GEORGE FOREMAN GRILL - NEED HIGH HEAT TO HEAT IT THROUGH IN 5 MINUTES

I WILL MAKE THIS AGAIN AND AGAIN EVEN THOUGH I DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO THE FOCCICIA, ITALIAN TUNA AND FRISEE.

JUST NEED A RECIPE FOR TOMATO BASIL SOUP NOW!
