We did not like this recipe. It was bland in taste. I am sure it could taste good, but you would have to add a few more things. Not worth making again.

I thought that this recipe was super easy and tasted like I had spent all night making it. My husband requested that it make it into our normal rotation of dinners. The lemon zest is really what makes this dish special.

It was great that I had the ingredients in my pantry and easy to pack for leftovers. Perhaps the bottled marinara sauce I chose made the sauce too sweet?

I loved that Giada chose to do this recipe, because I know it's a common household dish among the Italians I've known. It's inexpensive and easily made I agree with Giada that adding lemon zest brightens up this dish. Bear in mind that most of the flavor is coming from the sauce and not the tuna, since (as Giada notes in the show tuna is very, very mild in flavor. So it's best to use homemade tomato sauce with this, as store-brands then to have a flat taste and usually have added sugar and other junk that won't work well with the tuna. Plus homemade tomato sauce is just plain healthier and less caloric. I make this dish using whole wheat fusilli for my mom, who's in Weight Watchers, and she loves it.

I enjoyed this meal but I don't think my husband and sons loved it as much as I did. Anyways, I think this is a great weekday meal when you're in a hurry to get dinner on the table. I enjoyed it and the capers really make it extra special.

My husband loves tuna so I tried this dish with fresh tuna that I grilled then pulled apart. It was so fresh and yummy. I'm hungry for it now just thinking about it!
