I cooked this dish last evening and it turned out to be a keeper! The citrus really lightens up the chicken and contributes to the moistness and flavor. I would probably not use a whole orange or whole lemon as it seemed to be almost too much to stuff in a four and a half pound chicken. I didn't have any orange juice concentrate so I just used the juice of one orange for the basting sauce. I had a lot of oranges left over from the holidays so this was a good recipe to try!

I use this for my Thanksgiving turkey and it comes out great,,,doing it for the third year in a row because everyone is asking for it!I add some lemon and orange zest to my basic stuffing recipe to compliment it and bake it seperately in the oven.Ofcourse I triple it for my big turkey!

the chicken was very moist, some pieces of chicken had a hint of citrus flavor to it, but not much. Chicken was still good and would probably do it again except add the oregano and more oranges. It took about 2 hours for a small chicken to cook all the way

Chicken is very moist, but I was expecting more flavor. Don't get me wrong, the chicken has a "good" flavor just not a citrus and/or garlic flavor to it. Easy recipe, probably won't try again though.

I have made this chicken 3 times now. It is the most delicious roast chicken I have ever made!!!! The only thing I change is I don't care for Oregano so I use Thyme instead. Also (and I got this from the FN Mag if you thickly slice onions and use then as your "roasting rack" and then add the melting onion to the pan sauce....it is amazing!! Soooo tasty!!!

SOOOOO Good! But, it definitely takes longer to cook than it says. My husband loves this and I made this with the Neely's warm rice salad recipe. It was a great match!

This is a delicious chicken, but it took a while to cook fully. Also, the recipe for the "light gravy" really doesn't taste too good. Luckily the chicken is moist enough as it is.

The flavor was very good and the chicken was very moist, but it took like 4 hours for my chicken to fully cook.
