Do you think it's Giada's idea to show clevage? Do you really believe every outfit in her everyday clothing shows cleveage?
She is doing exactly what the foodnetwork wants.
They are looking to attact more male viewers.
This recipe looks to die for. I can't wait to try it.

This recipe is soooooo easy and delicious...and a break from the "traditional" way to make carbonara (personally, I have had some carbonara dishes at 5 * restaurants that were undercooked, runny and just plain "ugh", which completely turned me off of the whole carbonara thing for a while...til this!!!. I LOVE this version...and will make it again!!! (***NOTE to the "haters"...I don't understand how you can judge a RECIPE based on a person's appearance...Giada always looks sexy, yet professional...we could all only HOPE to look as good as her!!!

I first saw this recipe on the Food Network onDemand section on my TV durring Passover (a time whaen I cannot have pasta and was completly smitten with the look of it. I had heard of traditional Pasta Carbonara, and being Jewish and Kosher I couldn't make it due to its ingredients I would have to buy special, but with this it was perfect for any time anywhere. I first made this on Mother's Day '08, due to the widely known fact the Mother's Day is one of the worst times of the year out go to a restaurant for dinner. This was a quick and delicious recipe that out shine any restaurant, coupled with a traditional Ceaser Salad and followed by a Carvel Ice Cream Cake, Giada's Carbonara outshines any other Italian dish I have ever had!

Different from the carbonara I usually make - but soo good! The original carbonaras made it simply with pancetta, spaghetti, eggs, S&P, and cheese. I add cream and parsley and sometimes use everday bacon. Giada's is great version.
May I say that the criticism of Giada's appearance (BOOBS is ridiculous. She is a married woman, family oriented, and, having a child. As far as I can tell, a lady. Believe me, there are pushup bras and lower cut tops she could wear. Tell your sons, and yourselves, that a lady who presents herself to the world in a womanly fashion without vulgarity is acceptable.
She is a CHEF, the cameras zoom in on her food, right? Get over it!

    Sorry Giada,

The 'Basil Aialo' is essentially a basil-infused mayonnaise. Cream goes great on pasta. So does cheese. Mayo is for sandwiches.

This was really different and yummy. I don't usually write reviews, but I had to with this one because it was disappointing that people were rating Giada's cleavage exposure versus the recipe. I usually don't take a look at anything under 5 stars and now the rating system is useless. There are much worse things on TV and she is a beautiful woman who is a true cook and didn't even want to be in the entertainment industry.
